Day 4, July 6th
Matt: The football has proven a great outreach! 2 teams of locals turned up to play this evening, and in between matches we presented the Everything Skit. - which demonstrates God's delivery of us from the many worldly distractions and obstacles – it was received brilliantly – with respect, consideration and thoughtfulness. Very hopeful that many of these will be involved in the activities planned for the rest of the week and that God will have a wonderful and profound impact on their lives.
Amy: I officially want to bring 'Gigi' and Maria- a local couple- home with us! They have let us shower at their home and are always feeding us and keeping us cheerful! Beginning to feel the frustrations with the language barrier mainly because it's hard to express how truly grateful we are to everyone here. As a team we continue to bond brilliantly and Lisa gave us a brilliant devotional session tonight.
Hannah: God is so good! Have come to realise how big the world is and how our God is such a great big God who is everywhere! Thank you Cosham for prayer! I've had an overflow of prayer- it's fab! First time I've helped make steps and it was great fun.
Steve: Football was awesomest.
Simon: Thank you all for your prayers. This evening, after a full day's work, we went back to the park and the guys immediately came over to shake our hands and say 'allo'. This developed into more good matches and a watching of the Lifehouse sketch, brilliantly introduced and explained by Sami. Please pray for Adriano, Antonio, Julian, and many others. Tomorrow we continue to work on the building, with Roger and Steve and Simon redesigning the roof!!! And many others will be painting, with a few of us starting to really plan the kids camp next week. And please give thanks for the brilliant way the team has bonded and has continued to grow together... supporting, encouraging and worshipping... God certainly is good. And on a personal note, big apologies to Gemma, Megan and Jonah for not phoning as promised this evening! I will call in the morning.
Lisa,Just heard that an awful flood has hit Romania and killed at least 20 people!!!!! Please let us know that all of you are well! XXXXXX
ReplyDeleteHi all. We pray you will have a good day today. We pray that God will be with you all tomorrow as you visit the orphanage, we pray you will have peace and know that God will be with you.
ReplyDeletexxxx Hannah I miss you loads. Sorry your phone is not working and we cant talk.
We have heard little about the floods. We are based near Brasov many miles away from the flood hit areas, but we understand how they could have happened due to the amount of rain we are having here!
