Rachel: I have discovered that I can’t plaster, but I love smashing walls with a hammer (but don’t worry Callum, I didn’t go up any step ladders!) I’ve also had a great idea that will help to continue to support the Church here in Teliu.
Lisa: It rained so hard today!!! We had a great camp-fire with the same local teenagers. Singing songs together (such as Above all powers, Light of the World and How Great is our God – all in English and Romanian), performing the sticky chair sketch and singing ‘Who am I?’ The fellowship was awesome and one of the local men, named George, asked for the lyrics of Above all powers, because he liked it so much. Please continue to pray for George and all the others.
Paula: Amen for George! What a great God!
Roger has a headache as he is taking more apart that he is fixing. Please pray for him as he continues this amazing and worthwhile task on the roof, and needs to finish it all on Thursday.
Steve and Simon B are helping Roger on the roof. Praise God for their willingness, and keep praying for their safety. (And that no wasps will attack Steve – or in Steve’s words ‘may they all die!’)
Katherine: I was amazed by the willingness and enthusiasm of the boys in joining in with the songs and interacting with us. What an encouragement :D
Hannah: Today was fab! Loved the rain. Some of us ran home, from the restaurant where we have lunch each day, and got soaked! Getting very very tired, but had a nap! Great evening with a guitar, camp-fire and locals! Showers are amazingly cool... The devotionals in the morning and evening are amazing, very helpful and encouraging. Thank you for all your prayers! I am able to communicate with the Pastor’s children via German. Thank God for GCSE German.
Nick: Was absolutely shattered by football and working so grateful for the break we got because of the rain. A real taste of home in the weather, where is the sun! Hopefully we can finish all the work tomorrow and will really encourage the children tomorrow at the orphanage. Also please pray for a furthering of the relationship we have with some of the local guys who were at the “fire camp.”
Simon: After supper tonight we heard Sami’s story... a great testimony of God’s faithfulness and provision. Tomorrow we visit a local orphanage that only has 10 children in it, but these are all children with brain injuries. Please pray that we will be able to encourage them and let them know how precious and special they are.
Great to hear you all had a great day, shopping and pizza. Hannah's ice-cream for 60p amused her, and the fact no one has been knocked down yet LOL, considering no one stops at zebra crossings. ( God certainly is looking after you) . I am so glad the orphanage trip went well and that your time with them was amazing. We keep praying that you will continue to grow as a team and be prepared for a busy week with the local children next week. keep up the good work. Love to you all, and especially my little girl hannahbell. xxx
