Day 7 – July 9

Visited second orphanage today. Due to miscommunication there was only 12 girls there but was a fantastic day sharing and playing with the children. Started planning holiday club for next week, Paula and Ioana finished painting and we all shared an amazing devotional in the evening where we prayed for specific individuals in the group.

Amy: Was so humbling once more to see the joy that the children had when we visited and how they showed such love towards us. Feeling the lack of sleep! But my ability to fall asleep practically anywhere is really helping. Our devotional once again bought our team even closer and I am seeing firsthand the power of prayer. Another amazing day with God right by our side!

Lisa: I cannot imagine what it is like to live in an orphanage. Even worse I cannot imagine what it must be like to know I do in fact have a family...but that they can't or simply choose not to care for me. Thank you God for the blessing and privilege it is to have a family and thank you for every beautiful person in this team. Thank you that nothing can separate us from God's love no matter what! Thank you all for your prayers! Also, highlight of the day – Simon B stealing Steve's shaver after making him shave in a biker tash! Nice!

Hannah: Today was good: Had an early morning due to visiting the 2nd orphanage where we met 10 young girls where it should have been 50 girls (the others were on holiday). We planned some of the next week's children's camp – very exciting! To be honest, I've struggled today due to missing the family back home, being very tired and becoming more shocked than ever this week from being in Romania and doing what we're doing. I cannot imagine going back to McDonalds when I get home. It sure is difficult here but I know that my faithful God will continue to be with me to see it through to the end. You're prayers are definitely working! Amin (Amen)!

Nick: While we were surprised at the lack of 40 odd children it was still great and perhaps less tiring. The rest of the girls were on holiday in Holland apparently! We had the rest of the day off basically but also planned for the kids camp next week. I was taking the evening devotion today and we thought about how fantastic we are as creations of God. We are God's masterpieces. Had been feeling a bit drained and struggling but a combination help of a hot shower, some great prayer from the team and the "Steve shaving" incident have put me back up strong. (Simon B is my hero he got Steve to the "C" in YMCA actions before he caught on)

Stephen: Simon Burnett is going to die very soon, so if any of you love him, (which I'm sure you don't), you are welcome to send him your last words now....
Other than that, today's been awesome!! The kids at the orphanage had so much fun. It was a blessing to see the smiles on their faces, Simon won't be smiling when I'm finished with him...
